VIP Smart Homes Support Plans - Proactive Maintenance for Luxury Smart Homes

Monthly retainer plans with 24/7 priority access, on-site system checks, software updates, and proactive maintenance. Starting at $500/month. Cancel anytime.

We Don't Wait for Something to Break. Neither Should You.

Most smart home systems are installed, commissioned, and then forgotten - until something stops working. The installer disappears. Firmware goes years without an update. Batteries die. Network conflicts build up silently until the whole system feels unreliable. By the time you notice, the problem has been growing for months.

VIP Smart Homes takes a fundamentally different approach. Our subscription support plans keep a dedicated team actively monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing your system - finding problems before you do and keeping every component performing at its best. You get 24/7 priority access to our support team, a scheduled monthly system check, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing someone is always watching over the technology in your home.

Plans start at $500 per month. No contracts. Cancel anytime.

24/7 Priority Access

Your call goes to the front of the line - day or night, weekday or weekend. No phone trees. No ticket queues. Direct access to the same team that designed and installed your system, whenever you need them.

Monthly System Check

A comprehensive review of every subsystem - lighting scenes, shade operation, audio zones, camera feeds, network health, battery levels, and automation schedules. On-site or remote. We look for problems before they become ones.

Software & Firmware Updates

We track every firmware release from Lutron, Control4, Sonos, Ubiquiti, and every platform in your home. Updates are evaluated, tested, and applied in the right order during your monthly service window - not a year late and never recklessly.

Hardware Health Check

Electronics need regular attention. We inspect your equipment rack, verify thermal conditions, check physical connections, test battery-powered devices, confirm camera recording integrity, and ensure every component is operating within spec. Small issues caught early never become big problems.

Proactive Problem Detection

Through cloud management platforms like OvrC and Lutron's remote tools, we monitor your network health and system status continuously between visits. Slow speeds, offline devices, and storage warnings are identified and resolved before you notice a thing.

Living System Documentation

Your system files, network maps, device inventories, and programming records are maintained and updated with every change. If a component needs replacement five years from now, we know exactly what's installed, where it is, and how it's configured. Nothing is left to guesswork.

Simple Plans. No Contracts. Cancel Anytime.

Not sure which plan fits? Start with a conversation. We'll review your system, estimate the time it needs, and recommend the right level of care - with no obligation.

  • Designed for single-residence smart homes with a manageable number of systems.

    Includes:

    - 24/7 priority phone and remote support

    - One two-hour monthly system check (remote or on-site)

    - Software and firmware updates applied during monthly visit

    - Hardware health inspection

    - Proactive network monitoring via OvrC (if applicable)

    - Living system documentation maintained

Best for: Homes with a single Lutron system, a Sonos installation, a network, and a camera system. The right starting point for most luxury residences.

  • For larger estates, multi-building properties, or homes with extensive automation across many subsystems, we build a custom plan based on the estimated time your system needs each month. We'll assess the complexity of your installation - the number of Lutron zones, audio zones, cameras, network devices, and automation rules - and propose a monthly retainer that covers everything.

    Custom plans may include:

    - Extended monthly on-site visits (4+ hours)

    - Bi-weekly or weekly check-ins for complex systems

    - Dedicated remote monitoring dashboards

    - Seasonal automation adjustments (lighting schedules, shade positions)

    - Coordination with your property manager or house manager

    - Multi-property support under a single plan

Best for: Large estates, properties with 50+ Lutron zones, multi-building campuses, homes with dedicated server rooms, and clients who want their system treated with the same care as a commercial installation.

What Happens to a Smart Home Without Maintenance

You wouldn't drive your car for three years without an oil change. You wouldn't leave your HVAC system running for five years without a filter swap. But that's exactly what happens to most smart homes - and the consequences are real.

Unpatched firmware creates security vulnerabilities in your cameras and network. Outdated software causes devices to lose compatibility with each other. Batteries die in wireless shades and sensors without warning. Hard drives in security recorders fill to capacity and stop recording. Wi-Fi performance degrades as new devices are added without proper channel management. Scenes and schedules drift as family routines change but programming doesn't.

The result isn't a dramatic failure. It's a slow erosion of the experience you paid for - until one day your smart home doesn't feel so smart anymore.

A VIP Smart Homes support plan prevents all of this. Every visit, every update, every check is designed to keep your system performing exactly as it did on day one - or better.

Most Integrators Disappear After Installation. We Don't.

The smart home industry has a well-known problem: the relationship between integrator and homeowner often ends the day the system is commissioned. If something breaks six months later, you call. If nothing breaks, you never hear from them again. And when you do call, they may not have your system files, may not remember your setup, and may charge you a premium for a service call because you're not on their calendar.

VIP Smart Homes is built on the opposite model. We believe the installation is the beginning of the relationship, not the end. Your support plan means we know your system intimately, we have current documentation, we've been inside your home recently, and we can diagnose issues in minutes - not hours. When something does need attention, we're not starting from scratch. We're continuing a conversation we've been having every month.

That's the difference between reactive support and proactive care. One waits for failure. The other prevents it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. All support plans are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime with no penalties, no fees, and no questions asked.

  • A comprehensive review of every subsystem in your home - lighting scenes, shade operation, audio zones, camera feeds, network health, battery levels, automation schedules, equipment rack inspection, and firmware status. We test everything and document anything that needs attention.

  • Yes. For many systems, a remote check covers the majority of diagnostics - network health, device status, firmware verification, and scene testing. On-site visits are recommended at least quarterly for physical hardware inspection, but your monthly check can alternate between remote and on-site based on your preference.

  • Your plan includes 24/7 priority access to our support team. If something needs attention between visits - whether it's a quick remote fix or an emergency on-site call - you're at the front of the line.

  • In most cases, yes. We'll perform an initial assessment of your existing system to understand its architecture, document its current state, and identify any issues. Once we're confident we can support it effectively, we'll recommend the right plan. If the system needs remediation before we can maintain it reliably, we'll tell you upfront.

  • Your system documentation remains on file with us. If you rejoin later or need a one-time service call, we'll have everything we need to pick up where we left off.

  • The Essential plan covers a two-hour monthly check and is well-suited for most single-residence smart homes with a manageable number of systems. If your home has extensive automation, multiple buildings, or a large number of zones, we'll recommend a custom plan that matches the time your system actually needs. We'd rather scope it correctly upfront than underdeliver.

  • Support plan hours are dedicated to maintenance, updates, and system health. If you'd like to add new devices, reprogram scenes, or expand your system, we'll scope that as a separate project - but as a support plan member, you'll receive priority scheduling and preferred pricing on all project work.

  • Absolutely. For clients who aren't always at the property, we work directly with property managers, house managers, estate managers, or any designated point of contact. Monthly reports can be provided to whoever manages your household.

  • We support every brand we install - Lutron (HomeWorks, RadioRA 3, Ketra, Rania, Lumaris), Control4, Sonos, Focal, Stealth Acoustics, Sony, UniFi, Ring, Crestron, and all associated networking and AV equipment. If it's in your home and it's connected, it's covered.
