Lumaris tape light comes in two versions, both native to your Lutron system, both 10mm wide with industrial VHB adhesive backing for clean adhesion to any surface, both field cuttable, and both delivering 90+ CRI with flicker free dimming to 0.1%. The difference is color.
Each version uses a modular three piece design (power supply, wireless controller, tape) that simplifies installation compared to traditional DMX or 0 to 10V tunable white solutions.
Lumaris Tunable White Tape Light
A two channel LED tape light delivering tunable white from 1,800K (deep warm candlelight) to 4,000K (bright afternoon sun), the full residential range. Control intensity and color temperature independently, or use warm dim mode to mimic the natural dimming curve of an incandescent bulb. Program it to shift automatically throughout the day. Cool and energizing in the morning, warm and relaxing by evening.
Available in 16.4 foot and 98.4 foot reels, field cuttable every 2 inches. Each wireless controller drives up to 16.4 feet of tape via Lutron's Clear Connect Type X RF. Both plug in and hard wired power supply options are available, and a hard wired power interface can drive up to three wireless controllers (49.2 feet of tape total) for longer runs.

Everything the tunable white version does, plus full color RGB on demand. This five channel LED tape light combines saturated RGB with precision tuned white light (1,800K to 4,000K) in a single tape, delivering 200 lumens per foot. Switch from saturated color for a party to natural white light for everyday living, all from the same installation, controlled by the same keypad, the same app, the same scene.
Runs up to 32.8 feet per multi channel wireless controller. Field cuttable every 4 inches with pre soldered wires for easy reconnection. Includes Lutron's Wiring Verification Mode to confirm proper connection before programming, plus walk around programming and direct to device diagnostics for installers. Wiring terminals accept 14 to 22 AWG wire.

Each downlight delivers 800 lumens, dims continuously from 100% to 0.1% across two channels, and is rated for 50,000 hours (L70). Available with permanently affixed white or black trim. Wet location rated for covered ceilings.
Canless Remodeler Downlight
A fully integrated, IC rated canless downlight that installs through finished ceilings without opening walls or removing drywall. Available with 4 inch and 6 inch apertures in white or black trim. Delivers 800 lumens of tunable white light across the same 1,800K to 4,000K range as all Lumaris products. The wireless controller is built in. It connects directly to your RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks system via Clear Connect Type X RF.
The 4 inch model requires a 4.25 to 4.50 inch hole. The 6 inch model requires a 5.25 to 5.50 inch hole and works with both 5 inch and 6 inch existing openings. Both can sit in direct contact with batt or blown in insulation (not for spray foam).

Lutron offers seven aluminum extrusion profiles for Lumaris, each designed to house the tape, diffuse the light, and create a clean, finished installation that looks intentional rather than improvised.
Extrusions provide options for surface mounting, recessed mounting, and corner mounting, with a variety of diffusion lenses from frosted to clear. They also act as heat sinks, extending the life of the LEDs and maintaining consistent color over time.

The Lumaris wireless controller is custom engineered by Lutron with integrated LED drivers. One component replaces what normally takes three or four separate boxes from different brands. The combination driver controller is smaller than a smartphone and easy to tuck away.

No. Lumaris is designed and tested as a complete end to end system. Using third party tape, drivers, or power supplies may result in unexpected behavior and will void the warranty on the wireless controller. Always pair Lumaris controllers with Lumaris tape and Lumaris power supplies.
Are there any special wiring requirements for Lumaris downlights?
Yes. Lumaris downlights are rated to be powered directly from the breaker as constant power. Any dimmer or switch between the breaker and the downlight should be bypassed. All control happens through the Lutron system (keypads, scenes, app), not through a phase cut wall dimmer. Up to 40 downlights can run on a single 15 amp breaker.
What does a Lumaris installation cost?
